We are extremely excited to announce that Guru Krupa Foundation (GKF) has renewed its support for another year to ensure that 15 young girls are able to flourish at our residential school, The Hariharananda Vocational Training Center, located in Odisha, India.
This funding enables us to offer young girls from impoverished backgrounds, transformational experiences, including self-discovery and creative expression, vocational training and essential life skills. Qualified applicants must learn and engage in our structured curriculum consisting of classes, workshops, field trips, and entrepreneurial activities.
GKF serves as a catalyst for change, essentially reshaping the lives of young girls living in rural communities. Their funding not only funds program implementation, but also empowers cohorts of young girls who, with their newly found confidence, can effect deep-seated change that is necessary to break the bonds of poverty. Grassroots India (GRI) celebrates the continued patronage of GKF, enabling us to transform the lives of these young people, who, without GRI and GKF would continue the vicious cycle of poverty into which they were born.
