Due to the continued support of the Aspen Community Foundation, Duane Stranahan Estate, Guru Krupa Foundation, and many individual donors in the US, Grassroots Asia USA has been able to contribute every year, since 2008, to Grassroots India’s Hariharananda Vocational Training Center and the Odisha W.I.S.H. Network. In 2025, they have continued their donation for vocational and life skill training, medical aid, & educational aid to families in need. The donation will help to provide housing, food, medicines, and training opportunities for under-provided girls from rural Odisha. We are deeply appreciative of the loving support of Grassroots Asia and their unwavering commitment and dedication. These projects have only been successful because of their faith in the work we do amid the constant challenges and renewed hope.

Last year, Grassroots India proposed a trial field office as a foundation to reach deeper into the interior villages. Grassroots Asia USA agreed to sponsor an office at Pattamundai Block as an experimental project. Several villages were selected to build relationships for awareness programs. This year’s donation will contribute to the ongoing work at these villages which will also increase in number. Awareness camps and survey work help to promote our WISH (Women’s Independent Self-Help) Network of young girls who build life-long relationships of mutual support. Our social workers will be busy planning during the month of January for a series of outreach programs in 2025. Publications and textbooks will be distributed, case studies conducted, and qualified students will be identified for our residential life skill training program in Cuttack.
